Senior Power Electronics Test Engineer

We've designed our first-of-its-kind wireless charging into more than 50 different types of medical devices and support customers around the world from our offices in Burlington, Vermont; Zurich, Switzerland; and Boston, Massachusetts.As our Senior Power Electronics Test Engineer, you will play a critical role in expanding Resonant Link Medical's ability to execute wireless power system bring-up, validation, debugging, and integration programs in parallel while maintaining a high degree of technical rigor and product quality. Leveraging your background in electrical engineering, hands-on lab execution, and methodical debugging, you'll work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to assemble, bring up, characterize, troubleshoot, and validate advanced wireless charging systems for implantable medical devices. You will support both customer programs and internal platform development efforts by executing rigorous validation processes, improving testing infrastructure, coordinating third-party testing activities, and ensuring systems consistently meet demanding electrical, thermal, safety, and reliability requirements.Your work will directly improve engineering throughput, reduce hardware validation bottlenecks, and increase confidence in product readiness across a growing portfolio of wireless power systems.On an average day, you'll...Execute Hardware Bring-Up and Debugging: Support first-article bring-up, debugging, characterization, and validation of wireless power electronics hardware including DC/DC converters, inverters, rectifiers, and embedded subsystemsValidate Wireless Power Systems: Execute electrical, thermal, and system-level validation of wireless power transfer systems, including charging performance, safety mechanisms, firmware functionality, and communication interfacesDevelop and Execute Robust Test Strategies: Design, build, and execute test setups and validation procedures for subsystem testing, full system validation, reliability testing, and end-of-line manufacturing testsAssemble and Integrate WPT Hardware: Build magnetic assemblies, prototype hardware, and complete wireless power systems while supporting rapid iteration and engineering development activitiesDrive Rigorous Test Execution and Documentation: Capture high-quality test data, maintain organized validation records, and prepare detailed test reports and validation summaries to support engineering decisions, customer deliverables, and regulatory documentation needsSupport EMC and Regulatory Testing Activities: Coordinate and execute in-house and third-party testing including EMC, EMI, phantom tissue thermal testing, failure analysis, and related high-reliability validation activitiesImprove Lab Infrastructure and Operational Efficiency: Maintain test equipment, improve lab organization, support hardware inventory management, and increase readiness of systems for validation, shipment, and customer demonstrationsOperate and Learn Advanced Test Equipment: Utilize specialized lab tools including oscilloscopes, impedance analyzers, DAQs, thermal cameras, phantom tissue setups, and other advanced characterization equipment while rapidly learning new tools and validation techniquesRequirementsBachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical EngineeringStrong foundation in electrical engineering fundamentals including frequency-domain and time-domain analysisExperience validating and debugging power electronics systems including DC/DC converters, inverters, rectifiers, or related hardwareStrong hands-on lab skills including oscilloscopes, power supplies, electronic loads, DMMs, DAQs, and thermal measurement equipmentExperience working in medical device, aerospace, automotive, industrial, or other regulated/high-reliability development environmentsFamiliarity with structured engineering documentation, traceability, and controlled validation processesExcellent soldering, PCB rework, and hardware assembly skillsComfortable operating in fast-paced engineering environments with evolving technical challengesStrong communication and collaboration skills with a positive, team-first attitudePreferred Qualifications:Hands-on experience with potting, coil fabrication, or 3D printingExperience with Altium Designer, schematics and footprint component creation, and layout captureBasic programming experience (Labview, Python,
