An organization's supply chain needs to run smoothly and efficiently to ensure a profit, making the supply chain specialist an essential role. The Supply Chain Specialist will contribute to all facets of the supply chain.Supervisory Responsibilities:NoneDuties/Responsibilities:Performs miscellaneous duties and projects as assigned and required.Contact Freight Services as required and schedule outgoing shipments.Generate various reports as required.Maintain computer system for purchasing production scheduling and customer information.Maintain cumulative shipping and reconciliation records.Transmit ASN's per customer requirements.Prepare Scheduling and shipping schedules and communicate too appropriate internal personnel.Prepare shipping transactions and organize routing and transportation.Acquire freight data for sales quotes or new transportation.Assist in other areas as need where experience and computer skills would apply.Serves supply chain by providing product and service information and resolving product and service problems.Opens customer accounts by recording account information.Maintains customer records by updating account information.Prepares product or service reports by collecting and analyzing Scheduling and Production information.Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.Assist with Molding and Component purchasing.Required Skills/Abilities:Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent interpersonal and Supply Chain skills.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.Proficiency with MRP and PRP systemsEducation and Experience:Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and six months related experience; or High School Diploma/GED and two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Physical Requirements:Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift 25 pounds at times.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
