Position: Senior Cloud / Application Support EngineerLocation: Merrimack, NHWork Model: Hybrid (One week onsite / One week remote)Duration: 6+ Months ContractRate: $60 - $65 (W2 Rate)Work Authorization: USC OnlyPosition OverviewWe are seeking a Senior Cloud / Application Support Engineer to support highly distributed, multi-tiered systems in a production environment. This role involves troubleshooting batch and application issues while ensuring system scalability, resiliency, and performance.The position requires strong experience in cloud environments, database technologies, and monitoring tools, along with the ability to support critical applications and collaborate with global teams.Key ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot batch (30%) and application (70%) issues Deploy and support highly distributed, multi-tiered systems at scale Support cloud environments, including AWS, and assist with migration activities Build and operate resilient platforms in cloud environments Utilize monitoring tools to track system performance and reliability Analyze code (PL/SQL, Perl, Shell) to troubleshoot issues and propose long-term solutions Develop and maintain PL/SQL objects including stored procedures, functions, and triggers Support Trading, Portfolio Management, and Research applications Respond to system alerts, business queries, and data quality issues Maintain system scalability, resiliency, and observability Automate processes using scripting languages Manage systems using infrastructure-as-code tools Support CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices Provide support for batch scheduling tools (Autosys preferred) Recommend improvements in automation, CI/CD, security, and platform services Required Technical Skills10+ years of experience supporting distributed, multi-tiered systems 4+ years of experience in AWS cloud support and migration Experience building and operating resilient cloud platforms Hands-on experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes preferred) Experience with distributed and highly concurrent service-based systems Strong experience with monitoring and observability tools (DataDog, Prometheus, Splunk) Extensive experience with Oracle and PL/SQL Strong scripting skills (Python, Shell scripting) Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (IAM, ARM, Terraform, Chef) Strong understanding of cloud computing and DevOps concepts including CI/CD pipelines Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Experience working with Linux, databases, networking, and ITSM-based standards Required Software SkillsAWS Kubernetes Oracle PL/SQL Python Shell Scripting Terraform Chef DataDog Prometheus Splunk Autosys Preferred QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master’s degree preferred) Interview ProcessIn-person interview required Additional NotesSubmission Requirements:Resume (Word or PDF) Candidate location W2 rate LinkedIn profile Visa status Contact information Availability
