Facilities Technician

Job Description:Title: Facilities Technician III Type (Contract): 9 months Location: Boston, MA (Westborough) (3pm -11:30pm EST) Interview times: 1 roundPay Range: $25 - $27/hr.Day to day:Execute assembly and fabrication of complex manufactured products following established proceduresPerform troubleshooting and debug activities on manufacturing products. Gather and analyze data from various sources for problem resolution. Troubleshoot standard tasks and escalate complex issues when necessaryConduct PCBA inspection, rework, and circuit board modificationsSet up and execute test fixtures and DAQ systems. Read and interpret engineering documentation and drawingsFabricate cable harnesses and assemble electronic boxesAssist in training new hires and junior team membersMaintain quality standards and contribute to process improvementsDocument discrepancies and maintain accurate records. Ensure compliance with hardware standards (SAE, Metric, ASME)Perform hardware inspections and first article buildsMust haves:Associates DegreePrior experience with product testing (plugging wires into a product to run a test). Experience can come from a internship, co-op, trade school project, school project/clubProficient in reading and understanding EnglishCompetency with basic hand tools and measurement equipmentBasic computer skills for data entry and software operations/Strong attention to detail and documentation skillsPhysical ability to stand for 8 hours and lift 50 pounds frequentlyUnderstanding of basic hardware standards (SAE, Metric, ASME)Ability to read and interpret technical documentation/Basic technical communication skillsPlusses: 2+ years’ experience in manufacturing assembly/product testingExperience with specialized manufacturing equipmentBackground in electronics assembly or roboticsRelevant technical certificationsExperience with quality control processes.
