Our programs include LoopHome (reentry support), LoopTalk (mental health), LoopConnect (transportation access), LoopLegal, and LoopHousing, our upcoming transitional housing initiative.Role OverviewWe are seeking a Volunteer Housing Program Development Lead to build and structure LoopHousing, a multi-state transitional housing and reentry support program. This is a hands-on role focused on designing the program from the ground up, including housing models, compliance requirements, operational workflows, and expansion strategy across multiple states. This is not a maintenance role, we are looking for someone who can build, organize, and develop systems that will support long-term program success.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign the structure of the LoopHousing program (transitional housing model)Research licensing, zoning, and regulatory requirements by stateDevelop intake, eligibility, and resident management workflowsEvaluate housing strategies (leasing, ownership, partnerships)Build scalable systems for multi-state expansionAssist in drafting policies, procedures, and compliance documentationAlign housing with other LoopRoots programs (LoopHome, LoopConnect, etc.)Work closely with leadership on program strategy and rolloutPreferred QualificationsExperience in transitional housing, reentry programs, or supportive housingFamiliarity with housing regulations and licensing processesBackground in program development, nonprofit operations, or housing policyExperience working with justice-impacted populations (preferred)Strong organizational and research skillsAbility to build systems and processes from scratchWhat We’re Looking ForBuilder mindset (someone who can create, not just manage)Strong attention to structure and complianceAbility to think strategically and executePassion for housing access, reentry, and community impactWhat You’ll GainOpportunity to build a multi-state housing program from the ground upLeadership experience within a growing nonprofitDirect collaboration with the founder and core teamOpportunity to transition into a paid leadership role as the program developsHow to ApplyPlease submit your resume along with a short note outlining your experience in housing, reentry programs, or program development.
