About the Opportunity:The Accountant role is responsible for supporting general accounting functions to maintain accurate financial records and compliance. This position contributes to the organization by preparing financial statements, analyzing reports, coordinating accounting matters across departments, and ensuring adherence to accounting principles and healthcare regulations. The role plays a key part in financial data accuracy and supports effective financial decision-making.3. Responsibilities:• Prepare journal entries in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and statutory requirements• Generate income statements, balance sheets, consolidated statements, and other accounting reports• Analyze monthly financial reports and records• Coordinate accounting activities with other departments• Facilitate financial data entry and retrieval processes• Review journal entries for accuracy and compliance with GAAP and healthcare regulations• Calculate and validate financial accruals and estimates for period-end reporting• Perform bank reconciliations and ensure proper coding of cash receipts and transfers4. Requirements:• Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience or equivalent education and experience• Bachelor''s degree in accounting or business• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks• Teamwork skills and effective verbal and written communication• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (VLOOKUPs and pivot tables), and applicable accounting softwarePreferred Qualifications:• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation5.
