Software Engineer - Trading Systems NYAbout the CompanyOur client is a well-established fintech platform offering crypto payments, banking, and trading services to customers across 140+ countries.About the RoleThey are growing their core trading team and need a strong software engineer to own the execution layer of their global trading platform — the engine that connects them to exchanges and liquidity providers worldwide. This is a hands-on, high-impact role where performance and reliability matter enormously. Every single trade on the platform passes through the systems you will build and maintain.ResponsibilitiesBuild and maintain low-latency, high-throughput execution services connecting the platform to crypto exchanges and liquidity providersWork with real-time API protocols including REST, WebSockets, and FIXWrite highly concurrent code focused on minimal latency and best-in-class performanceImprove monitoring and alerting across the execution platformContribute to the architecture of a distributed, microservices-based trading systemRequired Skills and QualificationsBSc or advanced degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experienceStrong hands-on experience in Go (Golang) and/or C++ and LinuxProven track record building low-latency, high-throughput, or performance-critical systemsSolid understanding of concurrent programming (multithreading, goroutines, channels)Experience with REST and WebSocket APIs3+ years of professional software engineering experienceBonus if you have any of these skills:FIX protocol experienceBackground in crypto trading, HFT, or market makingDeFi or decentralised exchange exposureKafka, NATS, or other message queuesDocker, Kubernetes, or similar containerisation toolsStrong networking knowledge (TCP/IP, gRPC)Pay range and compensation packageSalary up to $140,000 depending on experienceAnnual performance bonusHealthcareHybrid working from New YorkEqual Opportunity StatementCandidates must already hold the legal right to work in the United States.
