Front Office CoordinatorThe Front Office Coordinator would be responsible for greeting all patients and clinic visitors in a friendly manner, directing them to the appropriate location, and providing general information about the office. The front office activities include receptionist tasks, check-in & check-out processes and referral coordination duties.Job ResponsibilitiesAnswering phones efficiently and with the proper etiquette, directing the calls to the appropriate person/department. Updating patient information in computer when necessaryScheduling new patients, collecting insurance information, filling out proper forms to set up new patient files and preparing file labelsVerifying medical insurance for all appointments (at least one day prior to service) and walk-in patientsMaintaining inventory of new patient forms and office supplies required for front desk activitiesMonitoring patient wait time and ensuring physicians' on-time schedule. Prioritizing appointment versus walk-in. Assisting in pulling charts for walk-in patients.Providing patients the proper documentation for quick referrals using preferred networkEnsuring patients leave with all necessary forms and paperwork (i.e. receipt of visit, lab requisition, prescription, etc.)Scheduling any necessary follow-up appointments, confirming next days appointments, and also following up on any missed appointmentsRespecting and maintaining privacy and dignity of patients to assure client confidentiality at all timesJob QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent1 year of experience within a medical office settingData entry and typing experienceBilingual in English/Spanish is preferredKnowledge of basic medical terminology is preferredBenefitsComprehensive benefits package, including Health, Vision, Dental, and Life insurancesFSA and Life Assistance Program (EAP)401(k) Retirement PlanHealth Advocacy, Travel Assistance, and My Secure AdvantagePTO Accrual and Holidays
