Project Manager / Estimator - Bidding Overview James H. Maloy, Inc. is a heavy and highway construction company located in Albany, NY with over 100 years of experience in heavy construction throughout the Capital Region and beyond. Responsibilities Prepare project estimates and identify projects to pursue. Coordinate and oversee construction projects from bid process to finish. Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources. Collaborate with owners, project managers, and subcontractors to ensure project success. Review and interpret construction plans and specifications. Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to quality standards and safety standards. Communicate with clients, stakeholders, and team members to provide project updates and address any issues or concerns. Prepare and submit project reports, including progress reports. Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering required Proven experience in project estimating and construction management. Strong time management skills to effectively prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Knowledge of construction contracts, estimating, and bidding processes. Proficiency in using construction management software such as HCSS or similar programs. Familiarity with Trimble Business Center, AutoCAD, and other design software for reviewing schematics and plans. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders. Ability to problem-solve and make decisions in a fast-paced environment. Perform other duties as assigned.
