See attachment on original job posting Candidates should have experience working with learners with extensive support needs and a working knowledge of SEIS (Special Education Information System). The successful applicant will analyze learner data, monitor and report progress toward IEP goals, facilitate and participate in IEP meetings, and accurately complete compliance-related documentation. They will provide differentiated instruction aligned to each learner's IEP and written plan, including functional academics and individualized support as appropriate. Candidates should be able to implement positive behavior supports and proactive classroom systems, and adjust instruction and interventions based on data. Experience supporting communication needs, including implementing AAC/assistive technology strategies in collaboration with related service providers, is strongly desired. The teacher will collaborate closely with SLP/OT/PT, behavior staff, nursing, and families to ensure coordinated services and consistent implementation of plans. The position requires the ability to structure a safe, predictable learning environment that supports sensory and regulation needs while maintaining learner dignity and independence. Applicants should be able to train and coordinate Instructional Assistants to ensure consistent instruction, data collection, and support across the day. Familiarity with functional behavior assessment and behavior intervention plans is preferred. Willingness to participate in required safety, health, and de-escalation training aligned to program needs. Placement on the teachers' salary schedule according to experience and educational units. We award unlimited years of previous teaching experience for placement on the salary schedule. Qualifies for District health benefits for the employee and his/her dependents.
