We are seeking a compassionate and qualified Special Education Teacher to join our team and help us continue fostering academic success for students with diverse learning needs.Job Description: As a special education teacher, you will be responsible for developing and delivering individualized education plans (IEPs) to students with disabilities, ensuring their access to the general education curriculum while meeting their unique learning needs. You will work collaboratively with general education teachers, support staff, and families to create an inclusive educational experience that supports the growth of each student.Qualifications/Responsibilities:Possess a valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with endorsement(s) in any of the following areas (SA), (SE), or (SM) with additional endorsements in Math (EX) and/or ELA (BA) preferred.Develop and implement IEPs and provide direct instruction in both small group and one-on-one settings.Monitor and track student progress, adjusting instruction as necessary to meet learning goals.Communicate regularly with educational staff and families regarding student progress, behavior, and IEP progress.Maintain accurate records of student assessments, progress, and IEP documentation.Provide support and guidance for students in social, behavioral, and emotional development.Lead IEP meetings, professional development opportunities, and school-related activities.Implement behavior management techniques and positive behavior support plans.
