Position OverviewThe Senior Analyst in the BBVA LatAm Debt Capital Markets (DCM) group will support the structuring, origination, and execution of international bond issuances and financing solutions for corporate, financial institutions, sovereign, and agency clients across Latin America, with a focus on Brazil, Mexico, Peru, Colombia, Chile, and Argentina.The individual will work closely with senior bankers, product specialists, legal advisors, rating agencies, and clients throughout all stages of transaction execution. The role requires strong analytical capabilities, financial modeling skills, capital markets knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.This position offers significant exposure to international debt markets, client interaction, and cross-border financing transactions, while providing substantial opportunities for professional development and increased responsibility within the team.Key Responsibilities-Prepare client presentations, pitchbooks, transaction proposals, and marketing materials for debt capital markets transactions-Analyze market conditions, secondary bond pricing, investor trends, and new issue activity to support origination and execution efforts-Assist in the execution of international bond transactions, including:Due diligence processesDocumentation reviewInternal approval processesRoadshow logistics and investor presentationsWorking group coordination-Build and maintain financial models, including:Cash flow modelsLiability management analysesDebt capacity assessmentsRelative value and pricing analyses-Evaluate financing alternatives across multiple currencies including USD, EUR, and Latin American local markets-Perform credit analysis for corporate and sovereign issuers-Assist in indicative pricing discussions and transaction structuring-Coordinate with external advisors including legal counsel, auditors, and rating agencies during transaction execution-Conduct industry, macroeconomic, and company-specific research to support client coverage and strategic recommendations-Interact directly with clients regarding transaction updates, information requests, and marketing materialsEducation & CertificationsBachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Business, or related quantitative discipline requiredFINRA licenses: SIE, Series 79 and 63 (must obtain within 6 months of employment)Experience2–4 years of relevant experience in Debt Capital Markets, Investment Banking, Corporate Finance, Fixed Income, or related areasPrior experience supporting capital markets or financing transactions preferredExposure to Latin American markets is a plusTechnical Skills-Strong understanding of:Fixed income marketsBond mathCredit analysisCorporate financeMacroeconomic concepts-Strong financial modeling and analytical skills-Liability Management experience desired-Proficiency with Bloomberg and market data platforms preferred-Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skillsLanguage SkillsFull professional fluency in both English and Spanish requiredPortuguese is a plusAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.With respect to this position in our New York Office, the expected base salary ranges from $110,000 to $130,000. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered.
