Company DescriptionIron Strong Health Initiative is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization focused on improving access to early screening and awareness for preventable health conditions such as iron deficiency anemia.The organization is currently validating a non-invasive, image-based anemia screening tool, with the goal of enabling scalable, accessible screening in both clinical and low-resource settings.Role DescriptionThis is a part-time, on-site collaborative role located in South Orange, NJ, for a Clinical Partner Organization – Hemoglobin Testing.Iron Strong Health Initiative is conducting an IRB-approved pilot study at Seton Hall University to evaluate the screening tool. We are seeking a Medical Assistant organization or clinical team to independently provide optional hemoglobin testing during study events. Study StructureIron Strong Health Initiative will conduct non-invasive image-based research activities under an IRB-approved protocolThe Clinical Partner Organization will independently perform all finger-prick hemoglobin testing as a separate clinical serviceClinical procedures will be conducted under the partner organization’s own supervision, protocols, and standardsResponsibilities (Clinical Partner Organization)Provide trained personnel to perform capillary blood collection (finger-prick testing)Oversee all clinical procedures, including safety, hygiene, and infection controlOperate under your organization’s clinical supervision and established protocolsEnsure proper handling of equipment and biohazard materialsCoordinate with the research team for participant flow during eventsQualificationsEstablished organization with trained Medical Assistants, EMTs, CNAs, or equivalent personnelDemonstrated experience with point-of-care or capillary blood testingAbility to provide on-site supervision for all clinical proceduresStrong communication and organizational capabilitiesStrongly preferred: existing liability or malpractice coverageCompliance & IRB ConsiderationsAll research activities are conducted under an IRB-approved protocol through Seton Hall UniversityThe Clinical Partner Organization operates independently within its clinical scopeEach party maintains responsibility for its respective activities, ensuring clear separation between:Research functions (Iron Strong Health Initiative)Clinical procedures (Partner Organization)Benefits to Partner Organization Participation in an IRB-approved clinical research initiativeOpportunity to contribute to validation of an innovative, non-invasive screening technologyExperience collaborating on a translational health project with real-world impactAcknowledgment in research publications or presentationsVisibility through collaboration with a growing nonprofit focused on community healthLocation & CommitmentLocation: South Orange, NJ (Seton Hall University campus)Schedule: Event-based, flexible coordinationEngagement Type: Collaborative partnership
