We need you to join our Team!In This Exciting Role, You WillAs a Freight Handler/Driver for Pet Food Experts / PetZoo Alaska you will successfully deliver pet products in a safe, courteous, and timely manner. This position requires manual labor to load/unload and place product at the delivery locations. Our delivery driver also assists with warehouse duties, such as creating transfers, stocking, cleaning, and loading product. Our driver also assists on the sales floor, stocking and cleaning as needed. And, assists with grounds maintenance, plowing snow, and sanding parking lots as needed.Pick up returns and associated paperwork according to company return policyDeliver intercompany transfers and live shipments between all locationsComplete trip reports, logbooks and other required documents in a neat and timely mannerCommunicate customer needs, opportunities and concerns to ManagerBe knowledgeable about delivery areas, routing aspects and traffic conditions to ensure on-time, successful delivery and satisfied customersMaintain neat, professional appearance as a company representative and interact appropriately with customers and general publicMaintain and ensure cleanliness of assigned equipment. Report all maintenance needs to ManagerKeep necessary permits and licenses required for your vehicleMaintain unexpired appropriate licenses to perform your job in a legally compliant mannerAppropriately respond to and effectively resolve customer needs as they ariseAbility to unload pallets and product off of truckAbility to safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks and other warehouse equipmentAbility to operate plow truck and sander to keep parking lots clear and safeThis position will perform duties in the warehouse and on the salesfloor, such as stocking, cleaning, and customer carry outsFreight handler duties include building transfers, rotating product, caring for backstock, loading/unloading product, and grounds maintenance dutiesAbility to work around hay/straw productsSalary$24.00 / hour + DOEThis is not intended to be an all-inclusive list; other duties may be required.
