As the Material Handler you will be directly responsible for working productively with other Airlite Nonwovens employees to provide superior quality, low cost, on-time products that exceed our customer's speciation through teamwork, continuous improvement and innovative thinking.Do you have what it takes? Successful candidates for this role will possess the following:Regular and punctual attendanceAbility to work as a team player and cooperate when there are tight schedules to meet customer requirements such as stay late when needed.Make sure correct fibers are brought to the lines and loaded in a timely manner.Ability to assess situations and take the appropriate corrective action.Must be willing to learn and work on computers and shipping systemsAbility to organize and properly store finished goods in their proper place in the warehouse.Responsible for following all safety guidelines and for keeping the work area cleanMust work interactively with other departments and follow company policies and proceduresLoad and unload trucks, when help is needed, accurately according to customer expectation and demand.Assist in keeping necessary quantities of fibers stored in the warehouse.Accuracy of shipping and receiving documentsMaintain forklifts according to work instructionsMaintain and clean warehouse, dock doors, and any other areas as needed.Fill in for multiple job functions on and as needed basis.All other appropriate duties as assigned:Communicate and work directly with the plant operations, transportation vendors/carriers, and manufacturing personnel.Dealing with carrier drivers professionally.Promote teamwork between departments.
