platforms.Job OverviewWe’re seeking a Training Requirements Manager to lead the strategy, development, and scaling of Saronic’s Mission Training portfolio across a growing range of autonomous surface vessels—from small USVs to medium and large platforms.In this role, you will own training requirements spanning curriculum, delivery models, simulation, and operator qualification pathways to ensure mission-ready personnel can safely and effectively operate increasingly complex autonomous systems.You will work at the intersection of product, operations, and customer engagement, ensuring training systems scale alongside platform capability, mission complexity, and operational demand.ResponsibilitiesProduct Strategy & OwnershipOwn the Mission Training product portfolio across multiple vessel classes (small, medium, and large USVs) and emerging new capabilitiesDefine and execute a training strategy aligned with Saronic’s product roadmap and DoD mission requirementsDrive improvements in operator readiness, speed to qualification, and mission effectivenessTraining Architecture & RoadmapDevelop and maintain the Mission Training roadmap, including curriculum evolution, simulation capabilities, and delivery modelsDefine scalable training architectures that support progression across vessel classes and mission profilesEstablish standardized approaches to operator qualification, certification, and currencyProduct DevelopmentPartner with engineering, instructional design, and training teams to build structured, performance-based training programsEnsure training reflects vessel systems, autonomy workflows, navigation, mission execution, and casualty responseIncorporate simulation, distributed learning, and emerging technologies where operationally relevantOperational IntegrationTranslate field feedback, mission outcomes, and system updates into continuous improvements in training productsEnsure training remains aligned with evolving platform capabilities and real-world operational demandsPartner with training teams to scale throughput in line with deployment and readiness requirementsMetrics & ReadinessDefine and track metrics for training effectiveness, operator proficiency, and mission readinessUse data to prioritize improvements and ensure training outputs meet operational standardsStakeholder EngagementEngage with DoD and commercial stakeholders to understand training requirements, certification expectations, and mission needsSupport customer onboarding, training programs, and operational readiness engagementsCross-functional LeadershipCoordinate across Engineering, Product, Programs, and Mission Training teams to align system development with training readinessPartner with Mission Training Managers and Program Managers to scale best practices across sites and platformsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Business, or related field5+ years of experience in product management, training systems, or operational program leadershipStrong product judgment and ability to prioritize in fast-paced, mission-driven environmentsExperience translating complex technical systems into effective operator workflows or training solutionsProven track record of cross-functional collaborationStrong written and verbal communication skills, including experience briefing senior stakeholdersPreferredExperience in defense, maritime, autonomy, or other high-consequence operational environmentsFamiliarity with operator qualification pipelines, certification frameworks, or mission readiness standardsExperience with training systems, simulation environments, or instructional designUnderstanding of vessel operations, navigation, and maritime safetyRole RequirementsDemonstrated success owning and evolving engagements, and field activitiesPhysical DemandsPrimarily office-based with regular travel to training sites, shipyards, and operational environmentsAbility to support field activities, including observing training, testing, and deployment eventsWill be exposed to marine environments, including sun, wind, rain, cold, and saltwater spray, often for extended periodsAbility to perform physically demanding work i.e. stoop, lay, bend, reach, squat, kneel, crouch, twist and crawl for extended periods of time including up to 12 hours/dayWear Personal Protective Equipment, including but not
