This is your opportunity to take ownership of major project components, provide technical leadership, and mentor junior engineers-helping elevate our team's capabilities while shaping the future of highways, bridges, and rail systems.What You'll Do:Provide advanced judgement and analysis techniques to complete complex engineering designs, technical reports, specifications, and contract documents for highway and rail projectsPlan, schedule, and coordinate detailed phases of projects with other engineering disciplines and project management staffMonitor project progress and performance to ensure efficient production and minimize issues in vital infrastructureComplete projects within budget and scheduling constraints, supporting sustainable and cost-effective solutionsProvide guidance and technical review for junior engineering staffWhat You Bring:Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering requiredMinimum of 4 years of discipline-specific engineering experience required; roadway or hydraulic design experience preferredSCDOT experience preferredProfessional Engineer (PE) license requiredAdvanced proficiency in engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.), as well as Microsoft OfficeStrong knowledge of QA/QC procedures, business practices, and engineering laws.Proven leadership skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative environmentExcellent verbal and written communication skillsParticipation in professional engineering societies/organizations preferredWhy You'll Love It Here:Lead challenging highway and rail projects that improve mobility, safety, and infrastructure resilienceMentor and inspire junior engineers dedicated to delivering efficient, forward-thinking transportation solutionsCollaborate with talented professionals across disciplines in a flexible, supportive work environmentCurious about the impactful work our Highway & Rail team is doing?
