The company operates with the mission-driven philosophy of “MISSION FIRST, PEOPLE ALWAYS.”Role Description The Project Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Cedar Rapids, IA, responsible for supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of mission-critical interior solutions for data center projects. This role collaborates with project managers, field teams, and clients to develop technical plans, review drawings and specifications, and ensure engineering requirements are accurately implemented. Day-to-day tasks include preparing project documentation, assisting with schedules and budgets, coordinating with vendors and subcontractors, and supporting installation oversight for systems such as containment, raised flooring, and related electrical components. The Project Engineer helps identify and resolve technical issues, monitors progress against milestones, and contributes to quality, safety, and compliance standards throughout the project life cycle. The role also involves continuous communication with stakeholders to provide updates, manage changes, and support successful project delivery.QualificationsCandidates should possess strong Project Engineering and Electrical Engineering skills to support technical design, review, and implementation in mission-critical environments.Candidates should possess Project Management and Project Planning skills to coordinate schedules, resources, budgets, and deliverables across the construction life cycle.Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to collaborate with internal teams, clients, vendors, and subcontractors and to document project status clearly.Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical or related discipline), Construction Management, or a comparable technical field is preferred.Experience in data center, commercial construction, or mission-critical facilities is beneficial.Working knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, and industry standards, along with proficiency in relevant software tools (e.g., MS Office, project management or CAD tools) is advantageous.Demonstrated ability to work safely on-site, manage multiple tasks, and solve problems in a fast-paced project environment.
