As a team member for ND Department of Health & Human Services, you will ensure the most vulnerable have access to a high-quality healthcare system in which prevention works, treatment is effective, and people recover.As an Administrative Assistant Registration, you will contact insurance companies for authorizations, assist clients with obtaining network-affiliated pre-authorization and referrals, verify insurance status in various databases and complete all necessary follow-up notes and client alerts. Other backup duties may include fingerprinting, and receptionist duties.To thrive in this position, you must be an action-oriented problem-solver. You exemplify the ideals of respect, confidentiality, courtesy, and helpfulness.To be considered for this position, you are required to have a high school diploma or GED and three years of experience performing a variety of complex office support, clerical, or secretarial work. Additional education with major coursework in office support or business may substitute for up to two years of the experience requirement on a year-for-year basis.This position requires a valid driver's license and successful completion of the assigned defensive driving course during new-hire orientation.LocationND HHS utilizes a blended workplace model.
