BGE goes beyond competitive benefits to attract and retain the best in an environment that inspires excellence.Construction Coordinator / Inspector (Construction Management) Public Works Infrastructure - Water/Wastewater, Lift/Pump/Booster Stations, Treatment PlantsAustin Area Territory - BGE Inc Civil Engineering (2 BGE offices: North Austin/South Austin)Job ResponsibilitiesObserves construction activities performed by a contractor or sub-contractor on preparation of water, wastewater, sanitary, storm sewer, paving, and detention facilitiesRegularly interfaces with Client and Contractor to ensure project is moving forwardReviews pay apps and change orders for accuracyAssist in responses to RFI’s ensuring responses are issued in a timely mannerLead preconstruction meetings and meetings as required by the client onsiteDocuments and reports to the supervisor whether the activity was completed in accordance with contract documentsAdditional duties include observation and documentation for specific testing procedures outlined in the specificationsMaintains a daily job logArranges and conducts job progress meetingsSchedules and conducts final inspections with representatives from various municipalitiesCommunicates directly with client representativesJob RequirementsHigh School Diploma or GED required; specialized vocational training is a plus.2 years of general civil construction experience, including Public Works Infrastructure inspection experienceStrong understanding of civil infrastructure construction schematics/drawingsAbility and willingness to work hours other than 8am to 5pm, including nights, weekends and holidaysAbility and willingness to work outside with exposure to weather conditionsAbility to perform basic math skills including geometryAbility to communicate and interact effectively with othersAbility to lift 25 lbsMust possess a current valid US-based driver license and must be willing to submit to a pre-employment drug test and driving record check.Some Of Our Benefits401k Match: 100% up to 4% of your contributions with immediate vesting + 3% Safe Harbor Contribution with immediate vestingMerit-Based Bonus CompensationMedical, Dental, Vision Insurance; BGE contributes to HSA on eligible plans9 paid Holidays, including 3 Floating holidaysPersonal Time Allowances 2 to 4 weeks of Vacation, depending on experience-level.
