Position Summary: The Senior Analyst, Strategic Sourcing, Technical Operations plays a key role in driving sourcing excellence at JetBlue by partnering with internal stakeholders and external Business Partners to deliver innovative, value-driven solutions that support aircraft maintenance and operational reliability. Reporting to the Manager, Strategic Sourcing, Technical Operations, this role leads strategic sourcing initiatives and commercial transactions, including airframe and component maintenance agreements, using data-driven insights, market intelligence, and financial analysis to inform decision-making. The Senior Analyst collaborates cross-functionally with Technical Operations, Legal, Finance, Accounting, and Treasury to develop effective commercial strategies, strengthen supplier partnerships, and deliver long-term value in support of JetBlue's JetForward strategy.
Essential Responsibilities:
Lead strategic sourcing initiatives from end-to-end, including market research, Request for Proposal RFP development, Business Partner negotiations, and contract execution
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business objectives and develop sourcing strategies that drive innovation, mitigate risk, and maximize value
Present work and recommendations directly to JetBlue Executives and Technical Operations Leadership
Develop and maintain reporting and contracting templates to regularly update Management & Senior Leadership
Assist in the development of a long term integrative sourcing strategy, working alongside JetBlue's Structural Programs, Technical Operations and other Strategic Sourcing teams
Conduct analysis for commercial recommendations on current and future maintenance platforms, including the facilitation, preparation and conduct of negotiations on technical maintenance agreements
Monitor Business Partner performance and support continuous improvement efforts through regular reviews and partnership with internal business units and JetBlue Contract Management Lifecycle office
Assists in developing policies, procedures, and practices relating to sourcing and contract administration
Prepare and present clear, data-driven recommendations and business cases to leadership for sourcing decisions
Support the development and execution of multi-year sourcing roadmaps aligned with JetBlue's strategic and operational priorities
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Experience and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Aviation, Finance, Engineering, or related field OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a combination of a High School Diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of previous related work experience
Three (3) years of Finance, Strategic Sourcing or equivalent experience
Expert with Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Word, and Power Point
Advanced proficiency in spreadsheet modeling and database administration, including applications beyond Microsoft Office suite
Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
Strong financial, quantitative and data analysis skills
Able to interpret and communicate complex Statements of Work (SOW) as well as Master Service Agreements (MSA), Amendments, and various other contractual documents
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple projects and project communications and stakeholder expectations
Available for occasional overnight travel (10%)
Must pass a pre-employment drug test
Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
Authorization to work in the US is required, this position is not eligible for visa sponsorship
Preferred Experience and Qualifications:
Knowledge of aviation maintenance, supply chain, and contracts with different financial and operational structures
Previous experience working for an airline and knowledge of aviation industry
Experience with e-procurement platforms & tools, in particular Sirion, Workday-Scout, Contraxx
Compensation: The base pay range for this position is between $66,000.00 and $103,100.00 per year. Base pay is one component of JetBlue's total compensation package, which may also include access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crewmember stock purchase plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space available travel on JetBlue, and more.
