Security Systems Estimator Salary: $90k+Location: Remote (Tampa, FL preferred)Shift: 1st Mon-Fri 8AM-5PMIndustry: DefenseEmployment Type: PermanentOverview: We are seeking a Security Systems Estimator with experience designing and estimating low-voltage security systems to support projects in Tampa, FL. This role focuses on developing accurate system estimates and technical designs for integrated security solutions including access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and emergency communication systems. This position has a strong focus on DoD ESS contract work, including evaluating RFPs and contracts to determine installation bids for security cameras and access control systems. The ideal candidate can read a contract or RFP and clearly advise on how much to bid and why, ensuring both technical accuracy and financial competitiveness.Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree preferredESS Estimating experience within or to Federal Government REQUIREDExperience estimating and designing low-voltage security systemsStrong knowledge of Access Control, Intrusion Detection, and CCTV/Video Surveillance systemsExperience integrating access control and video surveillance platformsStrong communication and collaboration skillsAbility to obtain JLA badgeAbility to obtain secret security clearanceDesired Qualifications:Experience with Axis, Exacq, Avigilon, or Pelco cameras/NVRsExperience with Software House or Door King access control systemsFamiliarity with Honeywell Vista intrusion systemsExperience with Aiphone intercom systemsKnowledge of CAT6, PoE, and PoE+ CCTV infrastructureExperience with TekTone or Cornell nurse call systemsKnowledge of U.S. Government PIV access control requirementsExperience designing patient wandering systems for memory care facilitiesResponsibilities:Estimate and design low-voltage security systems including Access Control, Intrusion Detection, Video Surveillance, Intercom/Paging, and Emergency Call SystemsDevelop system layouts, scopes of work, and project estimatesEvaluate project specifications and ensure system designs meet technical requirementsIntegrate access control platforms with CCTV systems for complete security solutionsCollaborate with engineering teams, project managers, and clients during the design and proposal phasesMaintain awareness of industry technologies, system platforms, and government regulationsOccasional travel may be requiredSRG4 Government Services is a leading provider of information technology, training, engineering, accounting and intelligence analytical services for agencies in the intelligence, defense, homeland security, cyber security, and federal civilian markets.
