Job Title: 3D Printer Operator
Location: Roselle, IL 60172
Duration: 03 Months (Possible temp to hire)
Shift: Mon-Friday Sat if needed 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM OT as needed
Job Description:
As an Additive Lab Technician your primary role is to operate and maintain 3D printers. This includes but is not limited to setting up and breaking down print setups, slicing parts, optimizing printer capacity, verifying quality, and meeting the demands of operations.
Essential Functions:
Slice STL models using common slicers.
Optimize printer capacity and print quality, balancing quality and speed.
Operate 3D printers. Loading and unloading programs and material.
Maintain 3D printers, such as nozzle changes, hot end rebuilds and other general maintenance.
Perform finish operations on printed parts, such as sanding\filing, removing supports and adding inserts.
Provide system cost estimates for new printed parts
Ability to read a blueprint and quality check key dimensions.
Ability to utilize basic measurement tools (tape measure, caliper and micrometer)
Ability to utilize common assembly tools (drills, hammers and wrenches)
Strong mechanical aptitude
Maintain a clean and safe work environment and adhere to 6S principals.
Additional duties as required
Qualifications:
Associate degree or equivalent work experience
Minimum of 1-4 years' experience
Experience in development or technical support of industrial equipment a plus
Ability to read and interpret mechanical schematics required
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
Computer skills:
Proficiency in MS Office suite (Word, Excel and Outlook) and Navision ERP
Experience in SharePoint, Prusa Slicer, Markforged Eiger or similar is required
