Certified Electrician - Second Shift
Certified Electrician - Second ShiftWe are seeking a skilled and certified State Licensed Electrician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and components in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. The electrician will ensure all work complies with state electrical codes, safety standards, and regulations.
Primary responsibilities include:
Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in accordance with state regulations and safety codes.
Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, ensuring compliance with codes.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to determine the layout of electrical systems.
Plan the layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures based on job specifications and local codes.
Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes to ensure compatibility and safety of the system.
Supervise and train apprentices and other less experienced staff.
Ensure all installations and repairs are completed on time and within budget.
Provide excellent customer service and address client inquiries and concerns.
Additional responsibilities include:
Participate in required safety program and work in a safe manner.
Additional duties as assigned by manager.
To be successful in this position you should have proven experience as an electrician and hold a valid state electrician's license. You should possess a strong sense of urgency and desire to provide superior customer service. The ability to take direction and work in a team environment is essential to this position as well.
Education/experience:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid state electrician's license.
Proven experience as an electrician.
Required qualifications/skills:
In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, tools, and equipment.
Familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and state electrical codes.
Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.
Ability to read blueprints, technical diagrams, and schematics.
Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
