Senior Commercial Client Manager

The Senior Commercial Client Manager is responsible for managing and servicing a portfolio of commercial insurance clients while delivering exceptional client experience and supporting business retention and growth. This role serves as a trusted advisor to clients, coordinating coverage placement, policy administration, renewals, and day-to-day account management across multiple lines of commercial insurance.Key responsibilities include developing strong client relationships, reviewing insurance programs for coverage adequacy, preparing renewal strategies and proposals, marketing accounts to carriers, negotiating terms and pricing, and responding to client service needs in a timely and professional manner. The Senior Commercial Client Manager works closely with producers, underwriters, carriers, and internal teams to ensure accurate policy issuance, endorsements, certificates, audits, and claims support.This position also provides leadership and mentorship to junior account managers and support staff, helps improve operational workflows, and ensures compliance with agency procedures and industry regulations. The ideal candidate possesses strong knowledge of commercial insurance products, excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to manage complex accounts in a fast-paced environment.Typical ResponsibilitiesManage a book of commercial insurance business across multiple industriesLead renewal strategy meetings and coordinate renewal timelinesMarket accounts to insurance carriers and negotiate coverage termsPrepare proposals, summaries of insurance, and client presentationsReview policies, endorsements, and audits for accuracyHandle client requests, certificates of insurance, and coverage questionsAssist clients with claims reporting and resolution supportMaintain strong relationships with carriers and underwriting partnersMentor junior team members and support training initiativesEnsure compliance with agency standards, licensing, and documentation requirementsQualifications5+ years of commercial insurance account management experienceActive Property & Casualty insurance licenseStrong understanding of commercial lines coverage and risk management conceptsExperience with agency management systems and carrier platformsExcellent customer service, communication, and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectivelyCISR, CIC, CRM, or similar industry designation preferred#ZR
