Introduction
As a DevOps Engineer, you will collaborate with our clients to design, implement, maintain, and test various technical solutions using the latest technologies. You will be responsible for creating and enhancing Continuous Integration (CI)/Continuous Delivery (CD) pipelines and various automation processes, including build management, automated deployments, automated testing, and configuration management.
What You’ll Be Doing
Treat infrastructure as a product and provide ideas on continually improving automation services and the resiliency of the platform.
Gather technical requirements and execute deliverables.
Scale infrastructure and applications in an automated way.
Monitor and instrument everything, particularly data applications and databases
Provide tooling for all of the engineers.
Follow and execute Production, QA, Dev, and other environmental change control processes.
Document DevOps processes, procedures, and environments to ensure continuity.
Location and Travel Details
This opportunity is remote and will require occasional on-site support during project deployments. Must reside in the DC Metro area or Austin, TX.
Security Clearance and Citizenship Requirements
Must be able to obtain and/or maintain Secret Clearance (Interim Secret required prior to starting)
Required For This Opportunity
Automation:
Proficient in pipeline YAML syntax (experience with DevOps, GitLab, GitHub, or similar is a plus).
Strong skills in Bash scripting, particularly in a Linux-based environment.
Container Management:
Experience in building Linux-based containers and pushing to private registries using Docker or Podman.
Familiarity with container scanning and hardening processes.
Ability to run containers locally in Docker/Rancher on Windows/Linux.
Exposure to Kubernetes, including tools such as kubectl, helm, and kustomize
Required skills:
Minimum of three years of IT/DevOps engineering experience.
At least three years of experience in Windows or Linux Server Administration (with RedHat, CentOS, or similar).
Strong proficiency in Bash scripting.
Experience with Linux-based containers.
Knowledge of pipeline YAML syntax.
Familiarity with Kubernetes (kubectl, helm, kustomize).
Proficiency in infrastructure management and associated Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
Strong experience in applying DevOps and CI/CD concepts; CI experience with multiple tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Visual Studio Team Services, etc.).
Scripting experience in PowerShell, Python, or similar languages.
Knowledge of automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Visual Studio).
Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
Understanding of Azure services, including Azure SQL, Azure Networking, and Azure Active Directory.
Experience in SQL Server administration and troubleshooting, as well as web server administration (IIS, Apache).
Familiarity with Microsoft Azure for deploying highly available, scalable, and secure applications.
Knowledge of monitoring tools (e.g., Application Insights, New Relic).
Understanding of Agile processes (Scrum/Kanban)
Nice to Have Skills
Experience with GOV Cloud.
Experience configuring AVD/Docker, Purview, Elastic, and/or Kion
