Job DescriptionLocation: Brainerd, MN. Brainerd is located at the center of Minnesota, about 125 miles north of Minneapolis/St. Paul. The Brainerd Lakes Area offers a beautiful playground for outdoor enthusiasts with a regional service area of 115,000 people.Facility: This medical center is part of a comprehensive healthcare system serving the Brainerd Lakes Area. The facility features a multi-specialty, collaborative environment with both outpatient clinics and inpatient hospital services. The medical center prides itself on providing high-quality care with work-life balance in one of America's greatest recreational areas.Opportunity: Board Certified/Board Eligible - Family Medicine or Internal Medicine - Hospitalist (Split-Position). This unique position allows for practicing both outpatient primary care and inpatient hospital medicine.Job Details:Split position with approximately half-time in outpatient clinic and half-time as a hospitalistOutpatient component includes roughly 8 clinic days spread over 3 weeksBroad primary care practice in a multispecialty clinic with 5 Family PhysiciansNo OB required, but prenatal care is an optionTelephone call 1:26, pediatric call onlyPatient load of 16-22 patients per day in clinicHospitalist component includes one 7-day shift per monthDay shift only for hospitalist workPartner with an established hospitalist program of both full and half-time providers12-hour shifts with 2-3 weeks of nights; remaining shifts are daysHospitalists cover ICU with consultative intensivist supportAverage daily census of 50-60 patients divided between 3-4 rounding hospitalistsCurrent ACLS certification requiredPosition created to prepare for anticipated retirementsCompensation: Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
