Job Title: Senior PHP Engineer
Location: Brooklyn, NYC (Onsite)
We are currently seeking experienced and highly skilled Senior PHP Engineers
to join our dynamic team onsite at Brooklyn office. As a Senior PHP
Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and
maintaining web applications, ensuring they are robust, efficient, and
scalable. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and take part in
the entire software development life cycle, from ideation to deployment.
Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain high-quality PHP applications, adhering to
coding standards and best practices.
* Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to
gather requirements and design solutions.
* Lead technical discussions, propose innovative solutions, and make
architectural decisions.
* Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing technical expertise and
fostering their growth.
* Conduct code reviews to maintain code quality, identify issues, and
ensure adherence to coding guidelines.
* Identify and troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and optimize
application performance.
* Participate in the testing and debugging of applications to ensure
seamless functionality.
* Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best
practices related to PHP development.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a
related field.
* Proven experience (at least 6-8 years) working as a PHP developer in
a professional environment.
* Strong proficiency in PHP and its frameworks (e.g., Laravel,
Symfony).
* In-depth understanding of web development technologies such as HTML,
CSS, JavaScript, and AJAX.
* Experience with database management systems like MySQL, PostgreSQL,
or MongoDB.
* Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative
development workflows.
* Familiarity with software testing methodologies and experience
writing unit tests.
* Ability to lead and guide a team of developers effectively.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to
challenges.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with
cross-functional teams.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $50.00 - $65.00 per hour
