Physician / Wound Care / Florida / Permanent / Southwest Florida

Facility is seeking Wound Care Surgeon physician to join our team * Ideal candidate will be BE/BC in one of the following specialties: General Surgery, Plastics, or Orthopedic Surgery with experience in Hyperbaric Medicine * This position will involve both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities, with hospital privileges at all hospitals within our system * Schedule - 3 days in office, 2 days in hospital * Will be required to perform surgical debridement, drainage of abscess & skin biopsies * Types of procedures: degloving, open wounds (back, buttocks, etc.), necrotizing fasciitis, cellulitis, burns, infections, issues from bad surgeries, fluid in legs, and compartment syndrome * See all ages, including pediatrics (hand is a plus; flaps would also be helpful) * Will do rounding * PA/APRN attached to provider ? in-house doing new patients consults etc. and covers for MD/DO * Call: 1/4 * Current Volume: About 30 in-house patients daily * Hours will vary depending on patient volume, and the on-call schedule will rotate to ensure weekend coverage is shared fairly among the team * Our team currently consists of 6 physicians and 5 advanced practice providers * This position also offers paid vacation and the opportunity to work in a supportive, collaborative environment focused on delivering high-quality surgical care. * Benefit Highlights: Offers a competitive compensation package with salary and bonus opportunities, sign-on bonus & relocation package, 403(b) retirement plan with match, short-term/long-term disability, malpractice through sovereign immunity
