Parts Purchasing Manager

If you’re the kind of person who likes to learn by doing and see the impact of your work every day, you’ve found the right spot.We're looking for a Parts Purchasing Manager who will be responsible for the oversight and governance of all daily counter parts orders and expedite requests. This person will lead and develop a purchasing team while establishing processes, procedures, and forecasting approach that keep inventory healthy while preventing excess and minimizing inventory risk.Supplier ManagementEssential Functions & Responsibilities:Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, price, and delivery termsBuild and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendorsNegotiate contracts, terms, and pricing to ensure favorable conditions for the organizationDaily Orders/Parts AdministrationRun various DMS reports, review, follow up that any necessary corrections are completedManage invoice process; print, post and reconcileMaintain dealer parts cross-reference and parts kits listsReview front-counter customer backorders and assist in fulfilling demand from OEM and alternative sourcesEnsure all back-ordered part orders contain information needed for proper orderingTrain and monitor proper use of order codesAssist with creating consistent training procedures and training materialsTrack purchasing performance through key metrics and analyze the results to drive improvements.Provide regular reports to senior management regarding purchasing activities, cost-saving initiatives, and supplier performanceIdentify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, price, and delivery termsBuild and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendorsNegotiate contracts, terms, and pricing to ensure favorable conditions for the organizationExpedite And Special RequestsAssist in monitoring customer back counter special orders and back orders while assisting counter staff in securing critical repair partsOversee communication internally with order status updates through our request and tracking systemsMonitor stock backorders and supply issues, work to secure delivery dates and alternative sources of supplyPlace special orders and update DMS with detailsEnforce guidelines on expedite requestsDevelop, communicate, and enforce escalation path to Suppliers (chain of command)Assist with creating consistent training proceduresMonitor recall and campaign notifications anticipate and order high-demand parts proactivelyEducation And/or Required ExperienceMinimum 5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, with at least 2 years in a managerial roleStrong negotiation and communication skillsExcellent organizational and time-management abilitiesKnowledge of supply chain management and inventory control systemsProficient in Microsoft OfficeCompensation & Benefits:Compensation: $90,000-$100,000 annually.
