Auto Fleet and Claims Manager

Budget is seeking an experienced Automotive Claims and Fleet Manager to oversee fleet maintenance operations, body damage claims processing, and vendor relationships with the efficiency and precision of a high-performing service department. This role combines strategic fleet management with hands-on claims leadership, ideal for a results-oriented professional who has successfully driven profitability through effective shop operations, vendor negotiations, and downtime reduction.Key ResponsibilitiesFleet Lifecycle ManagementOversee vehicle in-fleeting and out-fleeting processes, including thorough inspections, onboarding, and decommissioningMaintain comprehensive documentation of vehicle condition, mileage, and associated costs from acquisition through auctionPreventative Maintenance LeadershipDevelop and execute preventative maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and control repair expensesEnsure full compliance with OEM guidelines and regulatory requirementsBody Damage and Claims ManagementPrepare accurate repair estimates with attention to detailCoordinate with approved body shops, review and authorize supplements, and expedite claim closuresManage insurance documentation and follow-up processes efficientlyFuel Program OversightMonitor fuel usage, expenses, KDHE certifications, and required reportingOptimize fuel budgets through effective cost managementParts and Inventory ManagementMaintain adequate stock of tools, supplies, and parts to support uninterrupted technician productivityEliminate downtime caused by inventory shortagesVendor Relationship and Contract ManagementCultivate strong, long-term partnerships with body shops, parts suppliers, and fuel vendorsNegotiate competitive pricing, service-level agreements, and turnaround times that exceed industry standards Compensation and Benefits Competitive base salary with lucrative performance-based bonuses with profit-sharing -directly tied to cost savings and operational efficiencyCompany-provided vehicleComprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insuranceGenerous PTO, paid holidays, and 401(k) retirement plan with company match Qualifications Proven experience in fleet management, fixed operations, or automotive shop leadershipIn-depth knowledge of vehicle systems, preventative maintenance programs, and repair processesStrong expertise in body damage estimating, supplemental approvals, and insurance claims handlingDemonstrated success in vendor negotiation and contract managementExceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectivelyPreferred: Proficiency with inventory management software or fleet maintenance tracking systemsIf you are a driven professional ready to take ownership of fleet performance and contribute to Budget's continued success, we invite you to join our management team.
