Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) (Half-Time/20 hrs)

Title: Speech Language Pathologist Assistant Location: This position works out of both our Vienna, Virginia and our Rockville, Maryland clinics (2-3 days/week in each clinic). Schedule: Monday through Friday 2:45pm-6:45pm Optimal Beginnings has a busy and growing speech therapy practice and is looking for fantastic speech language pathologist assistants! Duties and Responsibilities: Provide treatment to clients in our office under the direction of a licensed Speech Pathologist Work with speech clinical director to incorporate speech program into overall communication plan Work closely with ABA team to provide integrated services to clients Prepare periodic reports based on client progress Promote effective interpersonal relations with client Seek the assistance of teachers, parents and others to meet the communication needs of client Engage in continuing education and professional growth activities related to speech-language-hearing and education Requirements and Qualifications Bachelor's Degree required Strongly prefer candidates who are already licensed as a speech language pathologist assistant in Maryland. May consider candidates who are eligible to become licensed. Must be available to work during after-school hours.
