This position will be charged with supporting the various trades (to include Building Maintenance, HVAC, Electricians and Building Mechanics) in the terminal building as well as the civil infrastructure owned and operated by the airport to include the roadway system, parking lots, cargo and multi-use buildings, MNAA offices and garages, utilities, auxiliary buildings on airport property as well as a limited volume of airfield assets. Other responsibilities will include coordinating construction activities, communications with the Airport Duty Manager, asset inventory and management, inspection and preventative maintenance schedules and being readily available for airport emergencies to include snow and ice removal during inclement weather.Essential ResponsibilitiesResponsible for operational oversight of a large team within Facilities to confirm the safety, security and efficiency of the 24/7 airport environment through administration and supervision of a skilled trades team.Responsible for oversight of routine and preventive maintenance activities for all airport facilities, assets, associated systems as it relates to building maintenance, HVAC upkeep and repairs, utility systems, electrical and plumbing infrastructure.Provides consistent communications with Airport Operations and the Airport Operation Duty Manager to ensure the Terminal Facilities and Operations teams are coordinating throughout the operational day.Coordinates with the Contract Manager and Project Coordination teams to confirm contracted and outsourced work is being performed as expected and in tandem with Operations and Maintenance personnel on campus.Oversees the development and monitoring of the annual operating and capital improvement project budgets to meet departmental requirements and annual goals.Provides leadership and works with staff to create a high performance, service-oriented work environment that supports the Nashville airport experience.Reviews of construction documents on the landside and airside areas of responsibility as well as airport improvement project requests to ensure all projects meet MNAA specifications, assets are built in the work order system and managed throughout the infrastructure's lifespan.Monitors utility use and efficiencies through the building automation system and provides areas for improvement in reporting and consumption to the Director, Terminal Facilities and Operations.Coordinates inventory of commonly used materials and equipment as well as tool management with the MNAA Warehouse and Facilities Supervisors for operational readiness across campus.Develops and updates Policies & Procedures for all activities involving inventory management, asset tracking, work order system adjustments, preventative maintenance schedules, tenant communications, prioritization of efforts as well as checklist for routine and emergency maintenance activitiesCoordinates with Airport Safety to ensure the safety of personnel on campus performing regular duties as assigned.Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the MNAA’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, coaching/mentoring staff, planning and directing work, appraising performance and resolving problems.Responds to emergency and contingency situations 24/7.Supports the Operations department during snow and ice control operations (i.e., provides personnel and equipment).Follows all safety regulations.Maintains regular and on-time attendance.Supports MNAA’s commitment to its culture and values, including Respect, Integrity, Service and Excellence (RISE).Performs other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills, Abilities And Other CharacteristicsFacilities Knowledge: Knowledge of materials, methods and equipment used in the operation, maintenance, repair and improvement of commercial facilities.Construction Practices: Knowledge of construction practices, specifications and plans, and site development. Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.Supervision of Personnel: Skill in supervising and managing others, including planning work, providing direction, motivating workers, and identifying the best workers for the job.Project Management: Skill in conceptualizing and managing complex projects, and managing multiple projects using established project management principles.Relationship Building: Skill in establishing and maintaining effective and professional working relationships with others.OSHA Regulations: Knowledge of state and federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations.Safety and Security: Knowledge of equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote safety and security.Computer Use: Skill in using a personal computer, MS Office, and other software to include computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to perform job-related functions.Judgment and Decision Making: Skill in considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.Reporting: Skill in preparing and producing timely and accurate oral and written reports.Independence: Self-guided requiring little or no supervision, makes independent decisions, and initiates action to get things done.Driving: Skill in operating a motor vehicleAbility to obtain and maintain a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) badge.QualificationsBachelor's Degree Aviation Administration, Engineering, Facilities Management, Industrial Management or industry related fieldRequired4-7 years of experience in Airport Facilities or Airport Operations at a medium or large hub international airport2-4 years of supervisory experience within Airport Facilities and/or OperationsValid Driver License CLASS DPreferredCertified member of the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE)
