Systems Engineer Product Owner - Secret Clearance
Basic QualificationsA final secret clearance is required for consideration.Experience in an integrated team, covering the full Systems Engineering Development Lifecycle.Proven experience interacting directly with customers to elicit needs and define requirements.Hands on work with missile defense, space defense (Space Domain Awareness), or other similar space mission elements.Proficiency in Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) using tools such as Cameo, etc.Job DescriptionWhat We’re DoingOur team, the Command and Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) team at Lockheed Martin, is dedicated to engineering, developing, and integrating new capabilities for the Missile Defense System that protects the United States and its allies. While we are part of a large organization, we operate within smaller, agile teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Our responsibilities include Sensor/Weapon Integration, Algorithm Development, User Interface Development, Automated Testing, Cyber Security, and enhancing critical missile defense technologies.The WorkRequirementsThis position will serve as Product Owner and will perform some or all of the following duties, concentrating on early-phase (concept, requirements, and design) activities of the Systems-Engineering Development Lifecycle:Lead the development of new system concepts by transforming stakeholder needs, acquired through documentation and solicitation, into easily reviewable technical approaches.Perform requirements elicitation and decomposition using behavioral artifacts such as use cases, activity diagrams, and sequence diagrams to convey understanding of the required behaviors and performance of the system under development.Lead the development of physical and logical system models capturing the system under development utilizing Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approaches and tools.Lead system interface development, as captured in Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and Interface Design Descriptions (IDDs), by converting system and interface requirements into message-level details sufficient to coordinate interface development.Support formal and informal engineering technical reviews.Create, review and critique interface documents, system requirements, verification documentation, architectural documentation, and engineering estimates.Interface with key stakeholders, including the MDA customer and working-level counterparts, as-required.Participate in Agile development planning and execution, including iteration planning and status reporting.Please NoteThis position requires a government security clearance; you must be a U.S. Citizen for consideration.The role will involve approximately 10% travel to customer sites throughout the U.S.Who We AreAs leaders of the C2BMC team, Lockheed Martin partners with industry leaders to develop and field the backbone of America’s missile defense.
