Description:Job Title: Solar ForemanBase compensation + Production Bonus/Watt (after hourly and overtime rates)Position Summary:SunVena is looking for a highly motivated Solar Foreman to lead a residential Solar Crew. Duties of the Foreman include installation and commissioning of PV systems, providing funding requirements and site photos, maintaining an inventory, managing the team, and ensuring safety compliance. The ideal candidate should have solar experience, a positive attitude, and a strong sense of pride in their work. If you have previous experience in PV installation, we'd like to meet you. Ultimately, a successful Foreman will join us in our effort to deliver the premier customer experience in solar installations.Key Responsibilities:Coordinate daily tasks according to priorities and plans, making changes when necessary due to weather, supply, delivery, and personnel.Supervise, delegate, and lead all aspects of residential solar installation, ensuring specifications and quality standards are met.Train, manage, and mentor employees and contractors, including new techs, to provide continuous development.Providing adequate resources and staffing to meet project schedules, laws, regulations, best practices, and safety needsEmphasize and enforce strict compliance with safety protocols and regulations, including the safe use of tools, machinery, and equipment, and provide necessary training on safety gear and proceduresDeveloping and managing project budgets and quality standards for all sitesResolve conflicts, miscommunications, and technical issues quickly and amicably, while providing technical support to the installation team.Regularly reporting project status to supervisors, site engineers, and other officials.Prepare and maintain accurate records of project progress, materials used, and other relevant information.Coordinate with project managers to ensure the timely completion of projectsConduct on-site visits to evaluate project progress and report to project managersEnsure that all materials and equipment are available for installation.Maintain a high level of quality control and ensure customer satisfaction.Perform any other duties as assigned by managementQualifications:High school diploma or equivalent required, with additional education or training in solar installation preferredAt least 3-5 years of experience in solar installation, with at least 2 years in a supervisory roleExperience with all aspects of solar installation, including panel mounting, electrical wiring, and system commissioningExperience with solar monitoring or project management software (e.g., Tesla, Enphase, QCell, SolarEdge, SMA)Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manualsStrong leadership and communication skillsExcellent organizational and time management skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and meet project deadlinesMust be willing to travel and stay overnight throughout the state when necessary.Valid driver's license and reliable transportationPreferred skills:Basic office administrative knowledgeUnderstanding of solar PV equipment and installation standardsBasic knowledge of residential electrical and structural systemsBilingual English & SpanishPhysical Requirements:Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditionsAbility to lift and carry up to 50 poundsAbility to climb ladders and work on rooftopsAs part of our hiring process, we require all potential employees to undergo a drug test.
