Its headquarters are in Lockport, LA, and it operates across North America.Job SummaryThe Mechanical Engineer is responsible for the design and execution of large horsepower turbine- and motor-driven centrifugal compressor station projects. This role manages project scope, schedules, budgets, engineering deliverables, and vendor evaluations while ensuring compliance with regulatory and corporate standards. The engineer provides technical support during design, construction, and commissioning, mentors junior engineers, and helps deliver safe, efficient, and cost-effective facility projects.Specific AccountabilitiesThe Mechanical Engineer must have experience in the design of large horsepower (10,000 to 30,000 HP) turbine and electrical motor driven centrifugal compressor stations, and experience in industrial systems.Oversees the development of the project scope, schedule, capital cost estimate, execution planning, risks and supporting information related to assigned facility projects.Ensures that all facilities are designed in accordance with all regulations, applicable industry codes and corporate standardsManages the execution of the design deliverables by a third-party engineering firm against the project budget and scheduleReviews and approves design deliverables for example drawings, technical reports and material listing sheetsReviews vendor materials quotations, prepares technical evaluations, and recommends to the supervisor selections based on technical merit along with price and delivery.
