Exam #25/50R19/12SS.Position DescriptionNatividad is seeking to fill a per-diem Interventional Radiologic Technologist in the Interventional Radiology Department. To learn more about the eligibility requirements and the process, be sure to read the Hiring Preference for Veterans and Eligible Military Spouses section located towards the end of this job flier.Examples of DutiesSIGNIFICANT RESPONSIBILITES OF THE POSITIONCirculates and scrubs in to assist interventional response teams during diagnostic, interventional, neurovascular, vascular, and radiology proceduresAssists physician with invasive diagnostic, interventional and therapeutic procedures using sterile technique and supplies, in the IR suite, operating room and/or bedsideCorrectly obtains and identifies angiographic images utilizing radiation reducing techniques according to best practiceInstructs patient, positions patient and equipment, computes and/or selects technical factors, and obtains images as instructedManipulates and sends images via the Picture Archive Communication System (PACS)Evaluates patient for contra indications after reviewing chart for complete history and evaluating lab work before procedure beginsDocuments the procedure being performed including vital signs, medications being administered, lab results, allergies, all pertinent information regarding patient, and all supplies being used in electronic medical recordAssists with the coordination of transporting patients to and from the Interventional Radiology (IR) suiteCleans and re-stocks IR suite and maintains proper inventory levelsTracks and bills each procedure and associated suppliesExamples Of Experience/Education/TrainingMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSRequired License/Certification: Possession of a valid Radiologic Technologist license issued by the California Department of Public Health or the ability to obtain prior to start and registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
