Senior Electrical Engineer

Shifts: Onsite, 4x10-hour ShiftsSalary: $100,000 $120,000/year + VIP bonus (up to 20%, target 10%)Experience: 5+ years, including Allen Bradley PLCs and industrial automationEducation: Degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical fieldPrimary Responsibilities:Provide electrical expertise across single or multiple plant areas.Lead continuous improvement and corrective action activities and projects.Offer technical support to internal customers.Manage projects such as new machine installations and upgrades ($50K $1M scope).Analyze project requirements, address design parameters and engineering challenges to deliver accurate, timely, and budgeted solutions.Oversee project workflow, supporting internal and external resources for on-time delivery, quality standards, and budget adherence.Ensure compliance with all safety objectives and legal requirements.Engineering Duties:Create and finalize designs meeting project scope, safety requirements, Bill of Materials, and spare parts needs.Collaborate with automation vendors and manage external contractors for installations.Develop engineering drawings using Autodesk products.Conduct project/equipment risk assessments and implement safety countermeasures.Handle hardware design, PLC and HMI programming, VFDs, servos, control system networking, and systems integration.Specify and procure electrical hardware and services.Perform machine FAT, IO checkout, startup, and commissioning.Required Skills:Proficiency with Allen Bradley PLCs, remote IO, HMIs, and Rockwell software.Troubleshooting and programming PLCs.Experience with industrial Ethernet communication and machine network layout.Knowledge of equipment safety, including hardware design, component selection, and arc flash requirements per NFPA 70E.Strong work ethic and self-starter attitude.Ability to manage capital and expense budgets to meet plant objectives.Preferred Skills:Strong communication and negotiation skills for internal and external stakeholders.Experience managing contractors and maintenance technicians.Ability to design, develop, and oversee electrical control systems.Manufacturing or industrial setting experience with production and maintenance processes knowledge.
