EHS specialist

Location: Brandenburg, KYSalary Range: $30-33/hour on W2.IntroductionThis role coordinates, implements, and executes tasks to maintain a proactive plant-specific program to achieve Plant Safety and Health goals and objectives. The position acts as the Plant resource for Safety and Health information on procedures, guidelines, and standards.Required Skills & QualificationsExperience with Safety and Health programs- 5 YearsExperience in a Chemical Plant- 1 yearKnowledge of EHS (Environmental Health & Safety)- 5+ yearsCertifications: CSE Rescue, 7OE, Hazmat HAZWOPER.Prior work experience at client or in client's Industry. Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2. Preferred Skills & QualificationsOSHA PSM regulation knowledge.Basic First Aid - National Safety Council (NSC).Adult CPR certification. Day-to-Day ResponsibilitiesEnsure the implementation of day-to-day Safety and Health programs.Evaluate PPE available and make best selections to meet needs/requirements.Conduct safety meetings to cover OSHA and site-required training topics.Inspect machinery, equipment, and working conditions to ensure compliance with occupational safety and health regulations.Conduct and document investigations of incidents and ensure follow-up actions are addressed to prevent reoccurrences.
