Information Technology Application Support

Job Title: Applications EngineerLocation: Foster City, CA | 4 days in office40-hour work week, but must be open to flexible hours (i.e. weekends)6+ Months Contract roleThis position is on the IT Applications team responsible for our client's Application Lifecycle Management Apps support and configuration. This individual will work with a team of automotive engineers and IT infrastructure engineers to customize, maintain and advance our ALM applications.Responsibilities:Work with stakeholders on features, upgrades, migrations, and integrationsMonitor application performance via established practices and methodsManage workflows, change management, Approvals and signoff and in-application configurations to meet stakeholder needsEvaluate new tools and services with Development and support of custom integrations using Java and PythonUpdating template/project configurations, workflows, and work item meta dataDeveloping dashboards and Live Reports that support engineering and management needs using Velocity and Javascriptother members of the teamAct as escalation point for Client Services team (helpdesk)Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related fieldDevelopment experience in Java, Javascript, Velocity and PythonExperience using Polarion within a regulated industry (medical device, aerospace, financial, automotive, etc) preferred, but not required.Must possess strong verbal and written communication skillsFlexibility, willingness to learn, and a demonstrated ability to come up to speed quickly on new technologies and technical issuesComfortable working in a fast-paced startup environmentExperience with SQL/NoSQL databases (MySQL, Postgres)
