Press Brake Operator 2nd Shift

Position Summary This position is responsible for the daily setup and operation of hydraulic CNC controlled press brakes. This position may also be required to perform other operations on production machines as needed. Reporting Reports to Manufacturing Manager. FLSA Classification Non Exempt. Essential Functions Perform press break operations. Conduct all set‐up and quality operations in support of machining for self and others. Set up and operate machines in accordance with travelers and required paperwork (drawings, specifications, etc.). Create, edit, and/or retrieve CNC programs from system files and execute them. Manufacture products that meet quality requirements. Inspect and verify work prior to submitting for inspection. Meet time and schedule standards for assigned tasks. Keep equipment clean and maintain proper fluid levels. Return all fixtures and tooling upon job completion. Account for time and work completed via computer access to the E2 management system. Advise supervision of issues that arise. Make routine decisions and use problem solving to resolve basic manufacturing issues or seek assistance. Identify setup reduction opportunities and Lean process opportunities and communicate to the appropriate 6S team lead. Adhere to all safety and operational standards. Additional Responsibilities Assume other responsibilities as required. Primary Performance Parameters Meet the required delivery dates for all assigned jobs. Meet customer delivery requirements. Meet quality requirements of all assigned processes. Conduct all operations in a safe manner. Qualifications Required Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical documents relevant to machine operation. A genuine belief in continuous improvement and disciplined processes, and a willingness to analyze, challenge, and change processes to create a more efficient environment. Organizational and time‐management skills. Self‐starter with ability to multitask and prioritize workday projects independently. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Strong metal press‐forming and basic fabrication background. Strong knowledge and understanding of fabrication, hydraulic press, and/or punch operations, including basic setup. Ability to use various inspection gauges. Basic computer knowledge. Firm understanding of Amada NT & NC9 programming. Experience / Education Required Minimum five years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Certification / License Required Valid driver's license.
