Light Truck Mechanic

**Job Overview** We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Automotive Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of primarily light vehicles and ocassional heavy equipment, ensuring they are safe, reliable, and meet our high standards. As an Automotive Mechanic, you will work in a fast-paced environment and be expected to diagnose and fix a wide range of issues, from routine maintenance to complex repairs. **Duties** - Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake checks. - Diagnose and repair a variety of automotive issues, including engine problems, suspension issues, and electrical malfunctions. - Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles and heavy equipment to identify potential problems and prevent accidents. - Use specialized tools and equipment to repair and maintain air brakes, suspension systems, and other critical components. - Operate forklifts and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently. - Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance work performed. - Stay up-to-date with the latest techniques, technologies, and industry standards to ensure the highest level of quality and efficiency. **Qualifications** - Proven experience as an Automotive Mechanic or in a related field. - Strong knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance techniques, including brake systems, suspension systems, and electrical systems. - Familiarity with heavy equipment operation and maintenance. - Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a physically demanding environment. - Experience with fork lift operation and maintenance. - Ability to suspend judgment and remain open-minded until all facts are known. - Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records. - Experience with shocks and struts is a plus. - High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training or an associate's degree in automotive repair preferred. - Must have valid license and be insurible.
