This role will be responsible for safely operating all Palletizing equipment to meet production schedules including but not limited to: Palletizers, Scanners, Label Machines, Stretch wrappers, Conveyors, Forklifts, Man-lifts, etc.Additional responsibilities will include:Safely maintain all Palletizing equipment to meet production schedulesEnsure quality standards are metPerform quality checks to ensure proper packaging, coding, products and other materials are correctly used in the production runPerform equipment Center-lining & clean, Inspect and Lubricate (CIL) to ensure that all equipment is running at peak performance and to quality standardsPerform and track rapid changeover to ensure that the next product is started on time and is correctInitiative is proactive, does more than required, volunteers to help othersEffectively troubleshoot complete system, including equipment and componentsParticipate in total production manufacturing (TPM) to include: AM, PM, FI, OCCI, EM and HSE pillar teams as requiredMaintain all areas to 5 S standardsParticipate in continuous improvement processes to include but not limited to, Why-Why & 7-step process meetings to eliminate losses or waste, to include safety issuesWhen equipment problems occur, it is the responsibility of each employee to assist in getting the problem corrected quickly and on time (flow to the work) above and beyond without having to be askedJob will require overtime, which could include more than 40 hours per week, 7 days a week and up to 12-hour daysWill be required to learn and use multi-computer skills which are paramount to the team's successOther duties may be assigned as deemed necessary by supervisory, management and union representativesMust be a high school graduate or hold a GED3 years in a manufacturing environment preferredAbility to operate complex machinery in the achievement of production goalsAbility to execute and manage a production planContribute to the creation and maintenance of a team environmentAbility to troubleshoot problems, determine cause and resolve problems with assistanceAbility to understand and comply with quality assurance standardsAbility to recognize unsafe conditions and make immediate corrective actionMust be able to work independently and with limited supervisionMust be able to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writingMust be able to work effectively in a team environmentMust be able to work with computer software such as Outlook, Word, Excel, Zarpac and ADC, WMS, Dashpad.Must be able to twist, reach, bend, lift a minimum of 50 pounds, push 50 pounds, pull 50 pounds and climb as neededMust be multi-skilled for a variety of tasks and be able to handle daily decision making that effects the teamMust be able to demonstrate teamwork, share information freely, cooperate with others, listen and encourage others and ask for input from others and acknowledge others skills, experience and contributionsMust be willing to continuously improve the team's ability to meet customers' requirements at the lowest costAll duties performed in a safe and acceptable manner as evaluated by the immediate supervisor and with management concurrence.All production goals are met, and all products adhere to the standards of TPI and regulatory agencies or are disposed of per standard operating procedures.All work activities are performed without accident or injury and in accordance with all codes, standards and practices.The position is expected to take appropriate action to ensure he/she is well informed of goals, operating methods, purpose, safety issues, personnel issues, etc. at all times.Employee represents the best principles and professionalism of Tropicana.SafetyMust adhere to PPE requirements set forth by the departmentEnsure all safety rules, procedures, policies and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) are followedWill stay up to date on all required peak performance safety training.PurposeDemonstrate behaviors consistent with Tropicana Brands Group Values and Code of ConductPromote a positive team environmentEnsure reliable and safe operation of equipment through troubleshooting and working with maintenance to identify issuesFoundational Ingredients: RequirementsMust be located in Bradenton, FL, surrounding area, or willing to relocate for the duration of employment.Willingness to be onsite at the manufacturing facility on a full-time basisMust be able to perform physical tasks for the duration of the shift, including standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting/moving items weighing 50 pounds or more.Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship now or in the futureBenefitsTBG is pleased to offer you a comprehensive benefits package which includes medical, dental, vision, company provided life, STD and LTD insurance, 401(K), and Pension Plan.
