Area Office Manager
We are currently looking for a Full Time Area Office Manager to join our Southern Community Health Team D team located at the Sulphur Area Office working 8:00AM-5:00PM - Mo Tu We Th Fr.Summary:The manager will have full authority and direct responsibility for the successful administration of all programs and services within the division of Social Services and to ensure that program activities are provided in the most efficient manner.Responsibilities:Plans, organizes, directs, coordinates, and controls all ongoing programs carried out by the Executive Department of the TribeWorks with division leadership team on specific initiatives to improve its overall work environment and the quality of servicesPlans, implements, and monitors the organization structure of the area office of the Chickasaw Nation to ensure that program activities are carried out in the most efficient manner possibleDaily contacts are made with individuals, families, groups, vendors and/or representatives of all types of internal and external, as well as field visitsResponsible for implementing programs to affect social attitudes of citizens to move toward social and economic self-sufficiencyProvides leadership in the development of policies and procedures related to the Division of Social ServicesConducts periodic and special staff meeting and attends appropriate conferences, as requiredSupervise the budget, finance, personnel, manpower utilization, federal & tribal programs, property management and other general overall administrative function of the area officeResponsible for the proper annual fiscal year budgeting for the following programs: Burial, Chickasaw Employment, Community Services Block Grant, Elderly Energy, Emergency Utility, General Assistance, Liheap, and Pathways to SuccessDirects the preparation and maintenance of budgets in the Social Services area offices.Responsible for supervising, instructing, evaluating, and training employeesMust be strategic, have a good professional presence, and possess strong planning and organizational skills and experience leading projects.Attends social services leadership meetings and various events, when requested by the executive officer. Treats all citizens with respect and maintains a cooperative attitude with other employees to facilitate quality customer service.Must be skilled at negotiation and conflict resolution, employee relations, leadership coaching and the ability to work within a teamEvaluate staff performance and handle any arising areas of improvementEstablishes necessary collaborations with outside organizations, agency personnel, community organizations to maintain and improve self-sufficiency of Chickasaw citizensMust possess strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with the ability to protectively deal with all levels of internal and external management, as well as front-line employeesActs as a liaison between the Chickasaw Nation and vendors, agencies and other tribesSubmits all appropriate reports and documentationHandles special projects as assigned by the Social Services Executive OfficerConsults with appropriate staff to ensure that expense reports are updated, and budgets are adhered to.Review, and recommend revisions for area office policies, standard operating procedures, job descriptions and office processesResolve client, citizen, and employee concernsContacts citizens who have been in a disaster area to ensure their safety and well-being.
