Accounting Manager

This role will oversee close execution, review team deliverables, and help drive scalable and efficient accounting operations in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.The ideal candidate brings strong close management experience, sound accounting judgment, and the ability to lead a team through complex and evolving business needs while maintaining high quality and operational discipline.ResponsibilitiesLead and manage month-end and quarter-end close activities across cash, fixed assets, accruals, and other operational accounting areasReview journal entries, account reconciliations, flux analyses, and supporting schedules to ensure accuracy and completenessManage and develop a team of accountants, providing coaching, prioritization support, and performance feedbackDrive close execution and ensure deliverables are completed timely and accuratelyPartner cross-functionally with FP&A, Treasury, AP, Procurement, IT, and other business stakeholdersIdentify process improvement and automation opportunities to enhance scalability and reduce manual workSupport implementation and optimization of accounting systems, controls, and operational workflowsMaintain strong documentation, controls, and audit readiness across owned processesSupport quarter-end reporting and analytical review processesParticipate in transformation and operational excellence initiatives as the company continues to scaleQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; CPA preferred5+ years of accounting experience, including public accounting and/or industry experience in a high-growth environmentPrior experience managing teams and reviewing close work requiredStrong understanding of US GAAP and operational accounting processesExperience managing accounting areas such as cash, accruals, fixed assets, and general close activitiesStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage competing priorities and operate effectively under tight deadlinesExcellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skillsExperience with ERP systems such as NetSuite preferredProcess improvement and automation mindset strongly preferredPreferred AttributesStrong ownership mentality and operational rigorAbility to balance detailed review with strategic thinkingComfortable operating in ambiguous and fast-changing environmentsPassion for improving accounting processes and building scalable operationsExperience supporting accounting transformation initiatives preferredBlackstone Talent Group is a wholly owned subsidiary of Blackstone Technology Group, a global IT services and software firm that implements technological solutions across commercial industry verticals and the US Federal Government.
