Sr. Manager - Environmental, Health and Safety
Job Title: Sr. Manager - Environmental, Health and Safety Department: Engineering Reports to: Vice President of Engineering FLSA Status: Exempt Brava is seeking an experienced and proactive Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to lead and drive a culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement across our organization. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive EHS programs that ensure regulatory compliance, minimize risk, and promote employee well-being. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with a strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, environmental standards, and safety best practices.Job Responsibilities:Champion and promote a strong safety culture across all levels of the organizationDevelop, implement, and continuously improve EHS policies, procedures, and programsEnsure full compliance with OSHA, environmental regulations, and company safety standardsConduct routine safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments; implement corrective actions as neededLead and facilitate weekly safety meetings and plant communication Develop and deliver safety training programs; ensure proper documentation and employee complianceMaintain and manage Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and hazardous materials programsOversee incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive action plansMaintain OSHA logs (including OSHA 300) and ensure accurate and timely reportingMonitor workplace conditions and implement strategies to reduce incidents, injuries, and environmental impactManage inventory and procurement of safety equipment and PPEPartner with leadership and cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiativesTrack, analyze, and report safety metrics, trends, and key performance indicators (KPIs)Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies and external auditsStay current with evolving EHS regulations and industry best practicesPerform additional duties as assigned Required Skills & CompetenciesBilingual fluency in English and Spanish, preferredStrong knowledge of OSHA regulations, environmental compliance, and workplace safety standardsExperience with risk assessment, hazard analysis, and incident investigation methodologiesExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and train employeesHigh attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentSelf-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaborativelyEducation & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or related field required (or equivalent experience)Minimum of 10 years of experience in EHS or safety management in a manufacturing, industrial, or similar environmentProven track record of implementing successful safety programs and reducing workplace incidentsCertificationsOSHA 10 requiredOSHA 30 preferredAdditional certifications such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CHMM are a plusPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach frequently throughout the workdayAbility to lift up to 60 pounds occasionally and 20 pounds frequentlyAbility to work in a manufacturing or industrial environment with varying conditions
