Direct Care Worker

Duties
Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
Provide direct support to individuals with disabilities, ensuring their needs are met with dignity and respect.
Maintain a clean and organized living space for clients, promoting a healthy environment.
Utilize medical terminology effectively when communicating with healthcare professionals regarding client care.
Follow HIPAA regulations to ensure the confidentiality and privacy of client information.
Lift and transfer clients safely as needed, using appropriate techniques to prevent injury.
Document care provided and any changes in client condition accurately and promptly.
Collaborate with other healthcare providers to deliver comprehensive care tailored to each client's needs.
Experience
Previous experience working with people with disabilities or in senior care is preferred but not required.
Familiarity with medical terminology is advantageous for effective communication within the healthcare team.
A background in direct support roles or nursing can enhance your ability to provide quality care.
