3TG Staffing Solutions is proud to represent our client in the search for a dynamic and experienced individual to fill the role of Vice President for Global Engagement and Services (VPGES). This leadership position offers a unique opportunity to advance international engagement and foster global partnerships within a prestigious higher education environment.
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs, the Vice President for Global Engagement and Services (VPGES) will work with leadership across the institution to support initiatives, projects, and scholarly activities relevant to global and international affairs.
The VPGES will play a pivotal role in enhancing international engagement at the institutional level, fostering global partnerships, and supporting faculty, staff, and students with international interests.
Collaborates closely with academic and administrative units to ensure that international programs and support services align with the client’s mission, institutional priorities, and values.
Oversees the administration of global/international programs, international student services, global research collaborations, and faculty-led initiatives.
Partners with the Office of Advancement and Alumni Engagement on international matters related to donors, initiatives, and programs.
Works closely with academic deans, Vice Provosts, department chairs, faculty, and other key stakeholders to enhance student engagement efforts, including study abroad programs and international student recruitment and belonging efforts.
Supports faculty in their international research and scholarship endeavors.
Maintains partnerships with international institutions, organizations, and governmental agencies to support collaborative research, academic exchange, and other initiatives, including increasing master’s degree enrollment through international partnership efforts.
Manages the budget and resources allocated to international engagement activities, ensuring efficient and effective use of financial resources.
Strengthens the financial profile through international engagement and student recruiting efforts.
Ensures compliance with relevant US and international laws, regulations, and institutional policies related to international activities.
Mitigates risks associated with international engagement efforts, including ensuring the safety of students and scholars while traveling abroad.
Serves as a spokesperson and advocate for international engagement efforts, representing the client in various forums and events.
Communicates the global impact of research and education.
Qualifications:
A terminal degree in Higher Education Administration, International Studies, or a related field.
Significant experience in international education, global affairs, or related fields, preferably in a higher education setting.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally, as required.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Demonstrated leadership ability, with a track record of successful program development, implementation, or management.
Familiarity with internationalization frameworks and accreditation standards in higher education.
Proficient in language facilitation.
