Material Handler/Log Processor

Title: Material Handler/Log Processor – Glacier Log Mill, Columbia Falls, MT Description: Join our team at Glacier Log Mill, a small, family-owned company. We’ve been proudly serving Montana for 20 years, transforming raw logs into beautiful log homes. We’re hiring log processors to operate heavy machinery and chainsaws, and to sort log inventory. Must be physically fit, reliable, and ready to work in an indoor/outdoor environment year-round. Pay: Starting at $25/hr (based on ability) Qualifications: Physically strong with the ability to lift 100+ lbs Strict adherence to safety protocols (PPE provided) Basic math skills for calculations and reading measuring tapes Experience with log loader, telehandler, and heavy machinery operation (NCCER certification a plus) Experience with safe chainsaw operation Must be comfortable working in varying weather conditions and a noisy environment Schedule: Typically 40 hours/week Monday-Friday, with occasional overtime during peak seasons Benefits: Competitive wages Paid select holidays Matching 401k Annual bonus A Day in the Life: As a Material Handler at Glacier Log Mill, you’re responsible for unloading logs from a semi-truck, sorting logs by diameter with a log loader, bucking logs to length with a chainsaw, and other miscellaneous tasks.
