Position OverviewLaunchTech is seeking a Mid-Level DevSecOps Engineer to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract.In this role, you will design, implement, and maintain complex DevSecOps systems that integrate seamlessly with government infrastructure. You will work with cross-functional teams to develop scalable, secure, and reliable cloud-native solutions supporting mission-critical applications. The environment leverages Kubernetes-based platforms including Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), AWS Elastic Container Service (ECS), and Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP).What You’ll Be DoingThe Mid-Level DevSecOps Engineer will:Engineer, architect, develop, and administer cloud and containerized computing environmentsAssess existing infrastructure and recommend strategies for cloud migration and containerizationDesign, deploy, and maintain systems using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Helm, Ansible, and BashImplement container hardening practices to meet DoD and MDA security compliance standardsDevelop scalable architectures supporting applications on IaaS and PaaS platformsAssist with the design and management of cloud systems, applications, policies, and infrastructure strategiesIntegrate security management and privacy requirements into cloud platforms, software, and applicationsEvaluate and recommend optimal cloud technologies and solutions for project requirementsDesign controls and processes that leverage available audit and compliance toolsIntegrate subsystem components into cohesive architectures that support mission requirementsDesign and implement cloud-based integration solutions supporting government systemsPlan, coordinate, schedule, test, improve, and maintain enterprise IT systemsCollaborate with software developers, network engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless system integrationDeploy and maintain cloud-hosted databases including PostgreSQL, Cassandra, and MySQLDevelop and maintain technical documentation for integration processes and system architecturesTroubleshoot and resolve complex integration and platform issuesAnalyze existing infrastructure to identify modernization opportunitiesCommunicate with government stakeholders regarding subsystem sourcing and technology decisionsReport infrastructure capabilities, performance, and recommendations to leadershipEvaluate and recommend new technologies and processes based on mission needs, cost, and riskWhat You BringBasic RequirementsMust have 12 or more years of general (full-time) work experienceExperience may be reduced with completion of advanced educationMust have 6 or more years of directly related experience in system integration with a focus on DevSecOps or Kubernetes environmentsMust have 1 or more years of experience in a management or leadership roleMust be proficient with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Red Hat OpenShiftMust have experience with Coder PlatformMust have strong experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks, and containerization technologies such as Docker and KubernetesMust have the ability to develop and apply complex technical concepts across multiple organizations and disciplinesMust have a current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (such as Security+ CE)Must have an active DoD Secret Security ClearanceWhy LaunchTech?LaunchTech is built on a single standard: Excellence, Period.Join a mission-focused engineering team delivering advanced DevSecOps, cloud infrastructure, and cybersecurity solutions for national defense programs.We offer competitive benefits, including:Medical, Dental, and Vision401(k) with company matchPaid Time Off (PTO)Professional development opportunitiesAnd moreReady to Join the LaunchTech Crew?LaunchTech is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
